Joseph Starkman

Dr. Joseph J. Starkman, D.O., is a board‑certified Family Medicine physician and the lead clinician at Osteopathic Healing Arts. He graduated from Midwestern University‑Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Chicago (Northshore) Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Starkman’s clinical approach is integrative, combining conventional family medicine with Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT), nutrition counseling, and functional medicine to help patients recover from illness and achieve optimal health.

Since joining the Direct Primary Care (DPC) movement in November 2017, Dr. Starkman has been dedicated to the DPC philosophy of providing personalized, affordable, and relationship‑focused care without third‑party insurance interference. He emphasizes preventive care, same‑day appointments, and transparent pricing, aiming to keep patients well and reduce the need for costly specialty referrals.
