John Grimsley

Dr. John Grimsley is a father of five children, husband, and a family physician who grew up in Northern Virginia. He pursued athletics in his youth and developed an early interest in human physiology and philosophy. After completing his undergraduate studies at George Mason University, he earned a Master’s in Biology from the same institution and worked in the biotech industry for Human Genome Sciences in their oncology division before deciding to pursue medicine.

Dr. Grimsley co‑founded Summit Direct Care with his wife, Diana, to create a Direct Primary Care model that emphasizes ample time with patients, a collaborative partnership, and a focus on root‑cause health. He designs personalized, lifestyle‑focused treatment plans aimed at preventing and reversing disease, believing that true health comes from addressing underlying factors rather than merely treating symptoms.
