Dr. Jacob Peterson, MD, is a board‑certified family physician and obesity medicine specialist. He was born and raised in Atkinson, NE, and earned a Biology‑Health Professions degree with a Neuroscience concentration from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA. He conducted immunology and neurobiology research at the University of Nebraska‑Lincoln and the University of Nebraska Medical Center before attending medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC).
