Dr. Frank (Harry) Calisch is the founder and medical director of Waypoint Direct Primary Care, where he delivers patient‑centered, whole‑person care through the Direct Primary Care model. He believes that eliminating middlemen and insurance barriers allows him to spend quality time with each patient, focusing on preventive health, chronic disease management, and personalized wellness plans. His approach emphasizes education, shared decision‑making, and long‑term relationships, ensuring patients feel heard and empowered in their health journeys.

Dr. Calisch earned his MD from the University of South Alabama in 2012 and completed an Internal Medicine residency at Naval Hospital San Diego. After 11 years of service as a Navy physician—including assignments in San Diego, Pensacola, Quantico, Guam, and Millington—he brings extensive clinical experience to his practice. He also served as Chair of the Healthcare Ethics Committee at Naval Hospital Guam (2019‑2022), reflecting his commitment to ethical, compassionate care. A lifelong educator, he has taught at the high‑school, college, and residency levels, and incorporates complementary therapies such as acupuncture and osteopathic manipulation into his practice.
