About
Elisa Rottinghaus, PA‑C, grew up on a farm in a rural community in South Central KS. She attended the University of Kansas and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology, then continued her education at Wichita State University, graduating in 1998 with a degree in Physician Assistant studies. Her career began in Kansas City, but she soon realized she wanted to return to small‑town life. Since then she has practiced rural family medicine in the Hiawatha and Falls City areas, caring for neighbors and friends. Elisa has additional training in lifestyle medicine and is certified in menopause hormone therapy, which she brings to her patients at Holton Direct Care.
Like many of us at Holton Direct Care, Elisa grew frustrated with the third‑party payer system that limited the care she could provide. Embracing the Direct Primary Care model, she is committed to offering patients more time, personalized attention, and affordable, high‑quality care without the constraints of insurance. She looks forward to helping her community stay healthy through nutrition, lifestyle choices, and comprehensive family medicine services.
