Dr. Ruth Musick

Dr. Ruth Musick, MD, was born in New Orleans and moved to Houston before Hurricane Katrina. She earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston – McGovern Medical School and completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the Texas Medical Center in Houston. After eight years of practice in Houston, she joined Paradigm Family Health in Dallas in August 2020.

Dr. Musick is a strong advocate of Direct Primary Care (DPC). She believes DPC places control back in the hands of patients and physicians, allowing for longer, unhurried visits, personalized care plans, and true partnership in health decisions. Her approach emphasizes building lasting relationships with families, focusing on preventive care, and creating wellness through collaborative, patient‑centered care.
