About
Dr. Cynthia Villacis is a bilingual Family Physician, Civil Surgeon, and Life Coach with over 20 years of experience. She has personally faced challenges with weight, blood sugar, stress, and sleep, which fuels her empathy and commitment to patient care. Dr. Villacis earned her medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine (1999) and completed a Family Medicine residency at St. Elizabeth Family Medicine in Edgewood, KY (2002). She also holds a BA in Biology from Oberlin College.
She founded Health Connections Direct Primary Care in 2017 to provide personal, judgment‑free, whole‑person care. Her DPC model emphasizes listening, addressing root causes, and creating lifestyle‑focused plans that fit each patient’s life. Dr. Villacis serves a diverse community—including immigrants, LGBTQ+ individuals, and Spanish‑speaking families—and integrates lifestyle medicine, obesity management, and immigration physicals into her practice.
