Crystal Maxwell

Dr. Crystal Maxwell has been a resident of Indian Land since 2013. She completed her Family Medicine residency at the University of Tennessee in 2010. She served as the Chief Medical Officer of a multi‑site community health center in South Carolina from 2012 until 2020, when she founded LIGHT Family Wellness, the first Direct Primary Care practice in Indian Land. Dr. Maxwell believes that a DPC model allows her to spend 30‑60 minutes with each patient, providing personalized, accessible care that emphasizes prevention, chronic disease management, and whole‑person wellness. She is motivated to “maximize the light” within the community by integrating primary care with weight‑loss, aesthetic, and lifestyle‑coaching services.
