About
Dr. Courtney Johnson is a native Washingtonian who attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA for a Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy, specializing in using music to bring about behavioral change in mental health settings with adults and adolescents. She then attended the University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed a residency in Family Medicine at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. After residency she worked at the Community Health Center of Snohomish County and International Community Health Services at Holly Park, providing full‑spectrum family care including obstetrics and serving as Medical Director and Quality Director. Inspired by the Direct Primary Care model, she opened Trivas Family Medicine in West Seattle in 2018 and joined a collaborative DPC practice in 2024. Dr. Johnson approaches health through the lens of each patient’s life context—considering health conditions, family history, employment, hobbies, and barriers—to create realistic, evidence‑based care plans. In her spare time she enjoys playing cello and piano, gardening, skiing, hiking, and running with Beachbody.
