Dr. Cory Annis, MD, is an Internal Medicine and Pediatrics physician and the founder of Unorthodoc, a Direct Primary Care practice in Carrboro, North Carolina. She opened Unorthodoc in 2015 after many years in the traditional insurance‑based model. Dr. Annis experienced the mounting barriers that middlemen created for primary care and envisioned a practice that provides affordable, relationship‑driven primary health care without the constraints of profit‑seeking third parties. She is double‑boarded in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and enjoys hiking, dancing, and spending time with her beloved dogs.
