Dr. Cliff Porter is the managing partner and founder of Texas Direct Medical Care. He is board certified in Family Medicine and is dedicated to providing the highest level of personal medical care through the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model. Dr. Porter emphasizes unlimited access, personalized attention, and a focus on preventive health, allowing patients to receive timely care without the constraints of traditional insurance.

Before establishing Texas Direct Medical Care, Dr. Porter served as medical director for several urgent care clinics in Travis County. He also spent many years as an Army physician stationed at Fort Hood, delivering full‑service family medicine to active‑duty soldiers, their families, and retirees, including hospital admissions, emergency medicine, intensive care, and obstetrics. A retired Colonel, he deployed with the 1st Armored Division to Iraq in 2011 and served as the senior flight physician for the 36th Combat Aviation Brigade. His extensive military and urgent‑care experience informs his patient‑centered DPC philosophy.
