Dr. Christa Murphy is the founder and physician‑owner of Joy Family Health, a Direct Primary Care practice dedicated to providing simple, personalized, and affordable family medicine. Dr. Murphy earned her undergraduate degree in Chemistry, magna cum laude, from Hope College and received her MD from Wayne State University School of Medicine (Class of 2002). She completed her residency in Family Medicine at the Grand Rapids Medical Education and Research Center (2003‑2006). After early years at a community health center, she and her family spent several years overseas on medical mission work in Zambia, providing primary care to orphanages and a pediatric HIV clinic. Upon returning to Michigan, she continued her service through community outreach, adoption advocacy, and leadership within Joy Family Health.
