Dr. Chad Williamson earned his Bachelor’s degree in 2008 and his medical degree in 2013 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He completed a Family Medicine residency at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia, finishing in 2016. In August 2016 he founded DeKalb MD, Alabama’s first Direct Primary Care (DPC) clinic, and has been the sole practicing physician there ever since, caring for patients of all ages.
Dr. Williamson’s DPC model is built on removing insurance barriers and providing rapid, personalized care. Patients receive same‑day appointments, 24‑hour access via phone or text, and a flat‑fee membership that includes discounted labs, medications, and a 24‑hour on‑site gym. He emphasizes direct communication, preventive health, and community‑focused services, believing that easy access to a trusted physician leads to better health outcomes.
