About
Dr. Aguirre is an energetic and passionate individual who feels wellness is based on the principles of unity of the human body. The body’s ability to regulate and literally heal itself, the interrelationship of structure and function, and the use of manipulative treatment in the total care of the patient are the “backbone” of his philosophy. He received his BS in Exercise Physiology from the University of Utah in 2004, graduated from LECOM for medical school in 2009, and has been board certified in Family Medicine since 2012. Dr. Aguirre considers his greatest accomplishment to be his family; he and his wife Ashley have four boys. He speaks Spanish fluently. He sees himself as a guide and coach, aiming to support patients’ health decisions and build meaningful connections on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels. He believes prevention is the best treatment. Outside of medicine, he enjoys family time, winter sports, fishing, hiking, camping, trail running, and baseball. He is excited to bring his enthusiasm for life and medicine to patients at Trailhead Clinics Glenwood Springs, where the Direct Primary Care model allows him to provide care with fewer barriers and aligns with his wellness philosophy.
