Dr. Carin Sanchez was born and raised in Metairie, LA. She attended the Academy of the Sacred Heart for 13 years and earned a B.S. in Biology from Emory University. After two years of research in the Department of Psychiatry at Emory, she returned to New Orleans to attend LSU School of Medicine. She completed her training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics in 2008, serving as chief resident at the University of Texas. Dr. Sanchez then worked as a hospitalist at East Jefferson General Hospital for over four years. Her experience in student health clinics and hospital medicine inspired her to pursue a Direct Primary Care model that emphasizes long‑lasting patient relationships, removes insurance burdens, and focuses on personalized, comprehensive care. When not practicing, she enjoys spending time with her three active boys.
