About
A San Diego native, Dr. Brian Crownover was commissioned through the USAF Academy in 1989 after graduating magna cum laude. He earned his MD from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in 1993 and completed residency training in Family Practice at David Grant Medical Center, Travis AFB, CA, in 1996. After serving six years as a military physician and department chief, he taught graduate medical education, completed a primary‑care faculty development fellowship at Michigan State University, and deployed to Balad Air Base, Iraq, where he earned a Bronze Star while establishing Air Force medical services. Following two decades of delivering babies and providing inpatient and ICU care, Dr. Crownover now leads the Direct Primary Care model at Treasure Valley Family Medicine, emphasizing transparent, patient‑centered care, long appointments, and a focus on preventive health. In his personal time he enjoys gardening, fruit‑tree orchards, and fishing/hunting with his family.
