Ben Hauter, MD was inspired to pursue primary care by his parents whose small‑town practices had a great impact on their community. After completing his residency at SIU Family Medicine, he founded Salt and Light Direct Primary Care to provide high‑quality, patient‑centered primary care. He emphasizes transparent pricing, extended visit times, and direct communication to empower patients in managing their health. He lives with his wife, Brittany, an occupational therapist, and their two children.
