He and his family moved to Colville in 1990, and he has practiced in Colville, Grand Coulee, Republic, and Spokane since then. He loves to serve people who can never pay him back by going to Africa nearly every year for 1–4 weeks to practice medicine and teach family physicians in their own countries to be excellent clinicians. His dream is to build a medical school in Ethiopia, and plans are coming together for the school to become a reality.
