Family Medicine
About
Dr. Autumn Stevenson is a family physician with a passion for natural health and wellness. She believes that when food is the basis of medicine, health flourishes, emphasizing the importance of human milk as the first food. Dr. Stevenson was born in Albuquerque while her parents taught on a Navajo reservation, lived on the reservation in Arizona and New Mexico, later moved to Georgia, and attended Columbia University in New York City. After returning to the Southwest, she worked at Columbia’s Biosphere2 Center in Oracle, Arizona, and taught in Tucson before attending medical school at the University of Arizona College of Medicine‑Tucson. Her love of stories and patients of all ages steered her toward Family & Community Medicine, and she completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of New Mexico in 2010. Since then she has practiced full‑spectrum family medicine, including obstetrics, newborn care, and lactation support. In 2018 she earned IBCLC certification and in 2022 she founded the Tree of Life Clinic, a Direct Primary Care practice focused on lifestyle medicine, chronic disease management, and compassionate, patient‑centered care.
