Dr. Anne Gonzalez, MD, CAQ‑Geriatrics, was born in New York City and raised in Virginia. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia and her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. After completing a Family Medicine residency and a Geriatrics fellowship at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, she spent five years providing primary care in Morganton, NC at Burke Primary Care, followed by thirteen years leading the Primary Care Department at A Woman’s View while also teaching part‑time in the Geriatrics Fellowship program. Dr. Gonzalez is deeply committed to helping patients improve their health, independence, and quality of life through a whole‑person, relationship‑focused approach.
At Emerald Health Direct Primary Care, Dr. Gonzalez embraces the Direct Primary Care model, emphasizing longer visits, same‑day or next‑day appointments, and a partnership with patients to set and achieve personalized health goals. She integrates nutrition, mental well‑being, and preventive care into her practice, believing that true health extends beyond medications.
