Dr. Andrea S. Otto is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She grew up in Sabetha, Kansas, and moved to the St. Louis area in middle school. She graduated from St. Charles High School and earned her medical degree through the University of Missouri‑Kansas City School of Medicine’s six‑year BA/MD program, graduating in 2003. During medical school she joined the U.S. Army and completed a Family Medicine residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Fort Lewis, Washington, after which she served as an Active Duty Army Family Medicine Physician from 2007 to 2011, primarily at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

After leaving the Army, Dr. Otto practiced outpatient Family Medicine in the Kirkwood area for nearly six years with St. Anthony’s Medical Center. In May 2018 she and her husband opened sproutMD Direct Primary Care, a Direct Primary Care practice in Kirkwood, Missouri. The practice emphasizes open communication, same‑day or next‑day appointments, extended 30‑60 minute visits, and transparent pricing. Patients have direct access to Dr. Otto via personal cell phone, text, email, or video chat, reflecting her DPC philosophy of personalized, relationship‑based care.

Dr. Otto also serves the professional community, having been President of the American Academy of Family Physicians St. Louis Chapter in 2022. She is committed to providing comprehensive, patient‑centered primary care for all ages, regardless of insurance status, and continues to lead sproutMD with a focus on preventive health, chronic disease management, and community wellness.
