About
Dr. Adam Balin was born in Chicago, IL, and grew up in the suburbs before moving to Grand Isle, Nebraska for high school. He earned his undergraduate degree at Harvard University and attended the University of Missouri‑Columbia for medical school, where he also completed his Family Medicine residency and served as Chief Resident. Dr. Balin practiced full‑spectrum family medicine—including obstetrics, inpatient care, nursing home visits, and home visits—while holding leadership roles such as Chair of the Family Medicine Department. He has spent more than 20 years delivering broad‑spectrum family medicine and is excited to bring this experience to AdvocateMD, practicing in a Direct Primary Care model that allows longer visits and shared decision‑making between patients and doctors.
Dr. Balin lives in Fitchburg, WI with his wife Karin and their two adult children. In his free time he enjoys fly fishing, traveling, camping, and working on home projects.
