About
Dr. Adam Balin, MD is a family medicine physician with over 35 years of experience. He earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri‑Columbia School of Medicine in 1986 and completed a Family Medicine residency at the same institution, serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Balin has practiced full‑spectrum family medicine—including obstetrics, inpatient care, nursing home and home visits—and has held leadership roles such as Chair of the Family Medicine Department at the Oregon Clinic.
In 2020 Dr. Balin joined Advocate MD to practice Direct Primary Care. He is committed to the DPC philosophy of spending longer, unhurried visits with patients and allowing clinical decisions to be made by patients and doctors rather than administrators. He offers a range of procedures, including prolotherapy, vasectomy, and complex skin procedures, and emphasizes a strong patient‑doctor relationship as the cornerstone of high‑quality care.
