About

Dr. Giselle Argento-Berrio is a board‑certified family physician committed to affirming, equitable, whole‑person care. Born in Barranquilla, Colombia and raised in the Chicago suburbs, she brings a lived understanding of navigating systems that were not built for everyone. Her path to medicine was shaped by work as a diabetes clinical researcher, birth doula, and public‑health advocate, as well as extensive travel that deepened her commitment to community‑centered care. She earned her MD from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine & Public Health with a distinction in public health and completed a family medicine residency at Swedish Medical Center First Hill in Seattle, with a distinction in reproductive health. Dr. Argento‑Berrio provides LGBTQ‑affirming primary care, including gender‑affirming hormone therapy, mental health support, and comprehensive care across the lifespan. Through Adwuma Family Medicine, she is building a practice rooted in trust, autonomy, and respect—where patients are seen, believed, and honored exactly as they are.
